GRANVILLE, OHIO– The RMU track team will hit the road one more time before the Horizon League Championships as they will be competing in the Denison Invitational. They last appeared in the Mastodon Invitational last week at Purdue Fort Wayne.

Recapping Robert Morris

Once again, the Colonials succeeded in the field. Senior Estelle Katende won the shot put while junior Keturah Hunter claimed the individual title in the weight throw. Katende also added 14.27 meters on her fifth throw of the afternoon in the event, finishing almost two meters ahead of the second-place finisher. RMU finished third in the invitational.

Scouting Denison

This will mark Denison’s first meet of the season as their meet was canceled. The last time Denison had a meeting was the BSC Invitational as they finished second in the meet. Denison looks to continue off their strong season as last year they had four top-two finishes.

Players to Watch

Estelle Katende (RMU) – For RMU, watch out for Estelle Katende, she has had an amazing season so far. There are no signs that she will stop now as the senior from Valbonne, France is a strong thrower.

Marija Pavlick (Denison) – A junior from Mount Lebanon, Pavlick placed as high as second in the javelin in 2019 and will be looking to succeed against one of her hometown city’s top schools.

Prediction

The Colonials will have their work cut out for them if they are looking to do better than third place.
