After completing the fall portion of last season’s schedule, the Robert Morris rowing team, like many other programs, saw their spring slate get scrapped. With a new calendar year underway, the Colonials have announced their 2021 spring schedule.

RMU will commence its season by traveling to Fairfax, Virginia on Sunday, March 28, to compete in the Occoquan Sprints. Robert Morris has been a familiar name in this competition, as they have participated in the Occoquan Sprints the past four spring seasons.

RMU will return home to host Marietta on April 3 at the Midge McPhail Boathouse on Neville Island.

To close out the season, senior day will be held on Saturday, May 8, as the Colonials will also host Duquense on the Island.

Rounding out their season campaign, Robert Morris will compete in two road competitions. The Black Rock Cup will take place on April 25, in Buffalo, New York, and on Saturday, May 1, RMU will travel to West Virginia to face the Mountaineers.

The 2021 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championships will be held on Sunday, May 16, at Cooper River Park in Pennsauken Township, NJ.

Leading the way, Robert Morris returns 10 seniors, including Francesca Barchetti, Nicole Kristof, Mia Krolczyk, and Satalia Rickman, who helped the RMU Second 8 clinch a bronze medal at the 2019 MAAC Championships.

First-year head coach Carol Schoenecker looks to lead the Colonials to a successful season with the hopes of reaching the NCAA Championships, which are scheduled for the last weekend in May in Sarasota, FL.
