COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.– The men’s hockey team (3-2, 1-1 AHA) travels to Colorado this weekend to take on Air Force (0-2, 0-2 AHA) for their first road trip of the season. The Colonials look to improve their record after losing to the #18 Bowling Green Falcons (3-0) 6-3. The Falcons will try to notch their first win of the campaign against the Colonials, with puck drop of game one scheduled for tonight at 9:05 p.m. ET and game two scheduled for tomorrow at 6:05 p.m. ET.

Recapping RMU:

The Colonials travel west attempting to improve upon their last result, dropping their non-conference tilt with #18 Bowling Green 6-3. They started the game strong, picking up two goals in the opening frame, but allowed four straight goals to seal their fate in that game. RMU will hit the road for the first time this year at Air Force.

Scouting Air Force

The Falcons have had a tough start to their season, getting swept at the hands of American International (2-0, 2-0 AHA) in Springfield in their first two games of the season. They dropped the first game 2-1, and only scored one goal in the second game as well, dropping that one 3-1.

Players to Watch

Justin Addamo (RMU) – Addamo is off to a good start for the Colonials. The Frenchman has three goals, the most on the team, and three assists. Addamo is a big piece of the Colonials offense, and the good Falcons defense will need to control him to win.

Grant Hebert (RMU) – Hebert has been putting up some good numbers for RMU so far with two goals and a team-leading four assists. Hebert will try to help the Colonials start fast against the Falcons.

Willie Reim (Air Force) – Air Force has not done much with the puck this year, but Reim scored one of their two goals in the series at AIC. He’ll be looking to pick up a quick goal against RMU.

Alex Schilling (Air Force) – In what has been a slow start for the Falcons, Schilling has been the brightest spot. As the team’s starting goalie, he has been rock-solid so far, entering play today with a .917 save percentage. He’s going to have to be big against RMU to get his first win of the season.

Prediction

RMU will take both games. Game one RMU will take 2-1. Game two will be RMU 1-0. RMU will sweep the series and be 5-2 by the time they take on Niagara.
