Robert Morris women’s basketball continued their success in overseas recruiting early Friday morning.

Alejandra Mastral, a 5’8’’ guard from Spain, announced on Twitter her commitment to play collegiately at RMU.

Before committing to the Colonials, Mastral previously played in Spain for the club Stadium Casablanca, which became a part of the club Basket Zaragoza in June of this year.

She released a statement a few minutes later expressing her excitement in joining the Robert Morris family.

She will become the fourth player to hail from Spain to play for the Colonials since the 2017-18 season, joining senior Laura Carrasco (Madrid), junior Esther Castedo (Lugo), and freshman Yasmine Sifaoui (Madrid).

Mastral adds to a crowded group of young talented guards that the Colonials have on their roster, including sophomore Dahomée Forgues, juniors Isabella Posset, Natalie Villaflor, and Castedo, as well as freshmen Riley Arrigo and Mackenzie Amalia.
