After spending four years wearing the red, white, and blue of the Robert Morris Colonials, Daniel Mantenuto will now wear the yellow, red, and blue of Asiago Hockey 1935 in the Italian Serie A, the top tier of hockey in Italy.

Last season, Asiago Hockey won the Serie A, beating HC Pustertal 4-1 in the finals.

As for Mantenuto, he spent last season as the captain of the Colonials, scoring 17 points (5 G, 12 A) in 24 games. In his career with the Colonials, Mantenuto posted 22 goals, 44 assists in 140 games played.

[My expectations for next season in Asiago are to try to become the best player possible and to contribute to the cause of a team that has just won a championship. I want to have an unforgettable experience, learn and grow both as a player and as a person. The ultimate goal is to win].

Mantenuto is now the third confirmed member of last year’s men’s hockey senior class to sign a pro deal, joining Jake Coleman and Luke Lynch, who both signed in the ECHL.
