Track looks ready to run at Towson Invitational

TOWSON, Md– After a strong showing in their first meet of the spring, the Robert Morris track and field team travels to Towson on Saturday to take part in the Towson Invitational.

In last week’s West Virginia Open, four Colonials won silver medals; two in throwing events, and two in track events. Junior Madison Mueseler finished second in the 400 meter with a time of 58.18 seconds, while Nina Radisavljevic won silver in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 15.62 seconds.

In the throwing events, Sam Buck finished second in the weight throw with a toss of 45.40m meters (148’ 11”), while Paige Bonin and Harley Stuebgen finished second and third in the javelin; Paige with a throw of 31.25m (102’ 6”) and Stuebgen with a throw of 31.17 meters (102’ 2”).

Also medaling for the Colonials, all were bronze, were Anna Chasovskaia in the 800 meter (2:25.11), Tara Richardson in the 1500 (5:05.49), Martha Gardner in the 1500 steeple (5:41.72) and Tara Goldman tying for third in the high jump with a leap of 1.40m (4’ 7”).
