RMU 2 (3-0-0), Maine 1 (3-2-0): The RMU women’s hockey team (3-0-0) faced off against the University of Maine (3-2-0) Friday night, resulting in a 2-1 win for the Colonials. Opening the scoring for Robert Morris was forward Amanda Pantaleo assisted by defensemen Maggie Lague at 1:13 in the third period.

Following after, at 10:50 was assistant captain Brittany Howard scoring the Colonials’ second goal of the night putting her goal total at five on the season with assists from forward Amber Rennie and defensemen Maggie Lague for her second point of the night.

The University of Maine forward Catherine Tufts potted a goal at 13:39 in the period to cut Robert Morris’ lead in half but still fell short in the end. Robert Morris goaltender Elijah Milne-Price stood on her head, posting a stellar .950 save percentage, blocking 15 of 16 shots to earn her club the victory.

Robert Morris looks to extend their win streak to four against Maine in game two of their weekend series on Saturday at 1 p.m.
