After becoming another community college player to find immense success at Robert Morris, Rodney Pryor is looking to find that same level of achievement (and a national title) elsewhere. According to TribLive, the senior guard, who has one year of eligibility remaining, will be graduating from RMU at the end of this semester and plans to transfer to another school for next season.

Pryor emerged as an immediate heir to Karvel Anderson’s role as team leader, top scorer, and expert marksman upon his arrival at the school. His 15.6 and 18 points per game the last two seasons led the team. He also led both years in three pointers and total field goals made, and was the leading rebounder this season.

While at Robert Morris, he — along with Lucky Jones and Marcquise Reed — led the Colonials to the NCAA Tournament during the 2014-2015 season. During the run, Pryor was named NEC Tournament MVP after leading RMU to the Big Dance. It was the school’s first appearance in the event in five years, and there they earned just the second NCAA Tournament victory in program history, an 81-77 triumph over North Florida.

His success not going unnoticed by others, Pryor was a first-team All-NEC player this season and a second-teamer the year before. His name is also scattered throughout the program’s record book: he is among the 25 all-time leading scorers in the program’s history, and one of only two (along with Anderson) to have only played at the school for just two seasons. He also holds one of the ten-highest scoring seasons by both average and total points, among many other appearances.

At this time, it is not known where Pryor intends to transfer, though he has been linked to several high-profile Division I schools, according to TribLive.
