The Colonials clinched a spot in the NEC Tournament Friday after a 2-1 defeat of the Blue Devils on the road.

RMU 2 (10-6-1, NEC 3-1-1), Central Connecticut State 1 (4-8-2, NEC 2-3): The Colonials looked to pick up double digit wins Friday as they played the Blue Devils of Central Connecticut State and they did just that with a one point victory in New Britain, Connecticut. The triumph also qualified the team for the NEC Tournament. The Colonials answered first as freshman Zac Sherman made the game 1-0 with a goal in the 32nd minute. A few minutes later, senior Neco Brett scored his 13th goal of the season giving the Colonials the 2-0 lead. CCSU made the score 2-1 scoring a goal in the 66th minute but the road team was able to hold on for the victory. Robert Morris Goalie Brenden Alfery recorded the win for the Colonials as he made two saves on the day.
